Eisblume

There's a quaint little music shop in the Güstrow marketplace. They have all sorts of CDs, cassettes, instruments, etc. In regards to popular music, I see, possibly, the exact same Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga albums, but also some other things that are actually interesting. I'll probably head back in there and get the Best of Enya.

Anyway, I've been trying to find some German bands, and one CD that captured my interest was an album from Eisblume (ice flower). What got me to pay the 17 Euro was that the final track was "River Flows In You" by Yiruma (aka the one song nearly everyone knows because of Twilight despite not actually being IN Twilight).

Here's their hit song "Für Immer" ("Forever") which samples the Yiruma piece. I will do my best to translate.

See the sun sink,
sink behind the house.
Dark shadows drink
out the light of day.

When we exchange glances,
lapse with hair and skin,
we hear two rivers rush
in us red and loud.

Throw Your light around me.
Oh, eternity seems small to You.
Wanting forever, wanting forever,
wanting forever to be with You,
to be with You.

The nights that we share
are without darkness.
Time loses the terror,
my human heart expands.

I gladly give myself to you.
Yet before the dawn,
we flow into each other,
defeating night and death.

Throw Your light around me.
Oh, eternity seems small to You.
Wanting forever, wanting forever,
wanting forever to be with You,
to be with You.

The moon wraps itself in clouds.
Your light shines on me.
We go down hidden paths
without return.

Throw Your light around me.
Oh, eternity seems small to You.
Wanting forever, wanting forever,
wanting forever to be with You,
to be with You.
