About Haunted Houses...

I went to a local haunted house and I wasn't really scared as much as joining in the insanity.

One thing I find kind of annoying about the haunted houses that I go to is that they're not really scary. The reason why they aren't scary is that you basically see everything. There's no mystery, you are just supposed to react to your surroundings, whether it be a demented circus, a mad house, an abandoned doll shop, etc. It seems that us Americans don't really know any other form of fear other than "look at how gross/bloody/weird this is".

Here's an idea I had for a haunted house. There's this long, dilapidated hallway. Lights are flickering, blood splattered on the wall, furniture knocked over. Something happened here but you don't know what. As you slowly walk down the hallway, you hear subtle noises, you don't know where they are coming from. The farther you walk down, the louder and more graphic the noises become. Sounds of torture and bloodshed fill your eardrums. Louder and louder, until finally, BOOM!!! The lights suddenly go out. You wander through the dark, hearing smaller, unknown noises. Finally a door opens and you are allowed to leave.

That's just my idea.

I heard that in the Philippians, the haunted houses have multiple stories, and they send you in alone to find your way through. THAT would interesting to see.

Random list of movie I need to watch.

I really need to start watching more movies, here's a short list of one I can think of off the top of my head.

Amadeus
John Carpenter's The Thing (actually, John Carpenter in general)
The Star Trek movies
Alfred Hitchcock (there is NO EXCUSE)

That's all I got so far, any suggestions?

Something About Monetizing Youtube vids...

Why is it easier for me to get Youtube to run ads on a PMV and NOT on a satirical movie review with original footage?

Why can't I think of anything to put in these MLPMV Madness vids?

Why am I asking YOU, 5 people who don't comment?

Anyway, have a nice night.

Ghostbusters

Last night, I went to a screening of Ghostbusters at one of my local movie theaters. Just the fact that they were showing it in theaters to celebrate Halloween is awesome, but when I saw it, there was a pretty sizable audience and there was a group of people in Ghostbusters T-shirt. Upon seeing this, I thought to myself, "This is as it should be."

This was probably the first time in YEARS since I saw this movie, we have Ghostbusters 2 on VHS but sometime ago we lost the first movie, so it was fun to finally watch this.

What I really like about this movie is that, even though I've seen clips being used as references in Nostalgia Critic and SpoonyOne reviews, the lines are even funnier in context.

This is the second time I went to a movie where the audience applauded at the end. I had a good time.

Aki-con 2011

I went to my first anime convention ever. It was both SO AWESOME /)^3^(\ and exhausting. It was draining, both physically and financially, I REALLY need to start making money.

I recorded a lot of footage so be prepared to see a few Youtube videos from the Con. Be warned, one of the more prevalent cosplayers in my footage is quite possibly the BEST SETO KAIBA EVER!!!!

Needless to say, I basically drank $20 worth of Ramune, and I have no regrets.

My friends and I are planning on going to Sakura-con. One I idea I had was to save up a crap ton of money, not only for the convention, but also for an Ouran Academy uniform so that I could go as Tamaki Suoh.

I was happy because there were other pony fans and whenever I found a pony cosplayer or a cosplayer I really liked, I had them take a picture with Twilight Sparkle.

I really need to get back into Soul Eater. Whoever this girl is, she makes an adorable Maka.
