On My Own

Way back earlier this year, before I came to Germany, I remember going to a thrift store. I can't really remember why or what the context was for going there, I just remember being there with friends. Now that I think about it, it was probably around this time of year, so last Holiday season then.

Anyway, we were hanging out at the thrift store (probably because someone was buying presents) and there was a part of the store that really intrigued me (aside from the VHS section). In the back of the store, there was furniture. Really cheap furniture. Like, I could've gotten a fairly decent (if a bit 90s-looking) couch for the same price of a Wii game. Really, $50-60 for a couch, and $20-40 for a armchair.

For some reason, just knowing that there are places that sell furniture for cheap made me feel not so afraid of my evident departure from my parents' home and finding a place of my own. I guess it's one of those "one-less-thing-to-worry-about" sort of deals.

Anyway, I'm off to go see Ralph reicht's (German Wreck-It Ralph).

A Fourth Year Passes

Four years ago today, I uploaded my Hercules review (originally done as a school project) to Youtube. Since then, I have uploaded a total of 14 reviews (working on my 15th right now). A bit too few for my taste.

I am currently working on a holiday review. Hopefully, I can get it out by the end of the month, if earlier.

I apologize for not making some sort of video like I did last year.

It's been weird. Being away from home, in a completely different country, far away from close friends...and it will be like this until June.

November was an especially weird month for me. It began with my girlfriend of almost 9 months and I breaking up (we're still friends, we've always been friends). Yeah, I was sad, I was disappointed that it happened while I was here, but she's still my friend, and I wish her happiness (she has a girlfriend now).

Aside from my life emulating that of Mark Cohen from Rent, I finally uploaded a review of The Rugrats Movie, which originally going to be my 2nd review, but was scrapped at the beginning of the editing stage (and then came Return of Jafar). 

To be honest, I can't wait to get this bloody clown story-arc over and done with.

I have a lot of time to think, and at times, I think back to happier times of my life. And for some reason, when I listened to this song, all of those memories came rushing back.

It been one helluva ride, but it's not over yet.

Happy 4th anniversary.

Too Personal for Comfort?

Part of me really wants to blog about basically anything I want, including the more personal aspects of my life. But the damning thing about the 'personal' is that it makes me think that there are things that you are not supposed to talk about.

In general, I do consider myself an open person, willing to share my feelings and woes when I can fully explain them, but some things I feel like I shouldn't talk about because it involves other people in my life.

Another thing is that I really do want to share these sort of things, but I'm not sure who would care.

Then again, I have laid out a lot of these sort of things on Tumblr, and less so on Twitter, but this Blog seems more 'official' to me.

I don't know.

Cinematic Nutcase - The Rugrats Movie

It begins.

It's Been Such a Long TIme

Probably should give an update on the happenings in my life.

As of now, the next review (The Rugrats Movie) is completely finished, and we're waiting for my colleague to upload it.

I started writing, and working on and off, a script for a Holiday review, but considering my work ethic, I'm not sure if it'll be up by Christmas. I could try and not be lazy, that would be the responsible thing to do.

I've been expanding my horizons with music by way of Pandora and Spotify. Now I really need to get into Secondhand Serenade, Kamelot, Relient K, and Edguy. Fun times.

I've also been trying to work on fanfics (MLP and Hetalia, naturally). Most of the time, I have trouble putting words on paper. I have an innately cinematic mind, so I can see the picture in my head, it's just hard for me to write it out. Of course, I'm wondering how people read without playing out a film in their head.

Kinda getting into a rhythm here in Germany. It's gonna be weird spending the Holiday Season away from friends and family, and in a completely different country. And then in January, I'll be sent off to a new host family. Damn, and I actually like it in this house.

Other, more personal, stuff has happened. Interesting stuff. Though, I'm not sure if it would be proper to completely lay it all out.

Oh, and I'm starting to draw more. See?
